Native to the Americas, Africa and Eurasia, squirrels belong in the Sciuridae family. Squirrels were moved to 17 sites in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia, and in 11 of those locations stable populations were established. And that brings up to our last color variant: white eastern gray squirrels. There are white squirrels with dark eyes that are not albinos.
